Minster chiropractic spinal manipulation care is relieving and cost effective.

SPINAL MANIPULATION IS EFFECTIVE AND COST REDUCING FOR SPINE CARE

Minster Chiropractic Center welcomes all spine pain patients! We know the frustration that comes with spine pain. Minster chiropractic spinal manipulation is beneficial for many. Though low back pain is a major source of disability around the world, its sufferers who experience recurrent or persistent bouts of low back pain realize that chiropractic maintenance care is worthwhile as it is patient-centered care. (1) Neck pain sufferers, too, report benefit with chiropractic. Neck pain patients treated with spinal manipulation – 90% of which is delivered by chiropractors in the US – had lowered risk by 2.38 times to need higher level and costly care like imaging, injection, emergency room or surgery (just 26%) than patients who were treated with other kinds of care (46%). (2) A recent study of Medicare patient claims states that patients who had less access to chiropractic care had an uptick in visits (32.3 a year) to primary care physicians for spine pain and an uptick in spine surgeries (5.5 a year) costing an extra $114,967 per 1000 Medicare beneficiaries and $391 million nationally. (3) Your Minster chiropractor is well-skilled in delivering spinal manipulation.  Spinal manipulation is and has been advised as first-line treatment for low back pain. Reviews of Medicare claims point out that chiropractors are the majority of healthcare providers for spinal manipulation and that the overall supply of spinal manipulation providers is falling. (4) Have no fear! Your hometown, Minster chiropractor does not intend to stop providing pain-relieving spinal manipulation, especially the gentle, research-backed Cox® Technic style of spinal manipulation.

Listen to this PODCAST with Dr. Kurt Olding on The Back Doctors Podcast with Dr. Michael Johnson as he discusses the place of spinal manipulation in the Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management for the relief of spinal stenosis, a common spine pain condition in the over-65 age group.

Minster Chiropractic Center presents new research on the benefit of adequate B vitamin levels.

Minster CHIROPRACTIC TIP OF THE MONTH:

Beneficial B Vitamins

The benefits of B vitamins is undeniable. B12 deficiency is often linked with dementia in patients over 65 years of age. It’s also been found in younger people who have normal B12 levels but have a high methylmalonic acid (MMA) level. Checking the MMA level may be considered in patients with symptoms that seem unconnected as in one patient with neuropathy, depression and stomach issues who tested a high level of MMA. (5) Biotin (B7) supplementation is showing potential in the treatment of neuropathic pain and could reduce the required doses of analgesic drugs. (6) Riboflavin (B2) in foods and via supplements is known for its antioxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory effects among others. A new study reported that B2 offers anti-itch properties. (7) Are your B levels good? We’ll talk at your next visit!
