Minster Dizziness and Neck Pain Care at Minster Chiropractic Center

Dizziness is a problem. Alone, dizziness can be upsetting, but it can also alter balance and lead to falls. Dizziness with related cervical spine disc degeneration can be a problem for older folks. Minster Chiropractic Center presents new research about chronic neck pain and its link to dizziness as well as the role Minster chiropractic care contributes in relief of neck pain and oftentimes related dizziness.

CERVICAL SPINE DISC DEGENERATION AND DIZZINESS

Patients with chronic neck pain due to cervical degenerative disease often experience dizziness as well as neck pain. Many existing studies, both clinical and basic science, describe the relationship of cervical disc degeneration and dizziness. A recent study pointed out that cervicogenic general dizziness was diagnosed in 89% of such patients. Improper neck postures over long time periods may contribute when there is existing degenerative cervical disc disease. Men and women have separate triggers for their dizziness. For example, farming, gardening, and weeding may trigger general dizziness, particularly in women who are older. (1) Surgeons reporting on a new surgical approach to relieving chronic neck pain explained that current clinical and immunohistochemical studies strongly indicated that chronic neck pain and intractable dizziness came from degenerated cervical spine discs. The dizziness ensued with only cervical disc degeneration alone without cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy. (2) Such degenerative disc disease in the neck also has been found to be accompanied by inflammation, particularly inflammatory cytokines that affect mechanoreceptors like the Ruffini corpuscles in degenerated discs resulting in dizziness. The good news: a majority of cervical spine disc disease patients and related dizziness find conservative treatment to be effective for them. (3) Minster Chiropractic Center is the place for conservative chiropractic care of Minster neck pain and degenerated cervical discs.

CHIROPRACTIC CONSERVATIVE CARE FOR DIZZINESS

An Australian study of chiropractic care of neck pain patients who also had dizziness revealed that chiropractic is frequently used by these patients to handle their neck pain. One in five people over age 70 years experienced neck pain. 57.3% of chiropractors stated that the neck pain and related dizziness was moderately responsive to their chiropractic conservative care. (4) Minster Chiropractic Center uses the Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management in treating cervical disc degeneration and its related Minster neck pain.
